Aesthetics
As a company that is primarily focused on design, Bentley takes its aesthetics seriously. It shows in the precision position of its quilting, the choice of leather sourced from by-products of cattle, the timber from forests that are sustainably managed and the innovative patterns on its levers. As you approach a vehicle like the Continental GT W12, its sculptural beauty is displayed through carefully curated lighting.
The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever built. Its rear tonneau for instance, featured the largest piece of book-matched, dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer ever applied to an actual production Bentley. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.
Bentley is the most sought-after brand in the automotive industry in the world due to its distinctive design and quality. The company continues pushing boundaries with the latest technologies and craftsmanship. This includes the introduction of an electronic tilt-opening rear sunroof and a crafted Apple iPad docking station.
Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary in the year 2019 100 years after it was established. The marque, now owned by Volkswagen alone following years of dispute with BMW, had planned a variety of special events and launches to mark the occasion. Design
Bentley is a renowned brand for its luxurious and ostentatious automobiles, but even keys are made to stand out. The Bentayga key is made of sterling silver. It has a large 'B' logo that tells everyone you're driving a Bentley. The key is also inscribed with the dates 1919 and 2019 to mark the company’s centenary.
The Mulsanne was redesigned and developed by Bentley Mulliner to be the ultimate Grand Touring car. It features two opposing sets of rear seats modelled on luxury private aircraft and provides passengers with unbeatable comfort and privacy. The custom heating and ventilation system as well as the air conditioning system was designed to give each passenger the ideal temperature control.
Alongside a range of refined styling updates and a host of elegantly executed styling changes, the Mulsanne is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre W12 engine that is capable of producing 560bhp and 479lb ft of torque. This prodigious power is complemented by a revolutionary suspension design that offers Bentley's trademark hushed ride.
Bentley has released a special specification for cars made after 2019 to commemorate its centennial. This is referred to as the Centenary Specification. This includes contrast stitching and cross-stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings on the headrests and seats are embroidered with Centenary Gold, adding to the sense of celebration. A custom Bentley key case is also included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.
Function
The Bentley Mulsanne key features buttons that open the trunk and a second button which starts the car. It also has a switch that can turn on the parking break. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors if you are parking in a tight spot. Using this feature can help you get into and out of the car more quickly.
The key is made of vegetable tanned leather. It takes about two days to craft each one. It is cut by hand and shaped, then sewn, sealed and polished to provide a high-quality finish. It is compact and strong, and it fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar with the Volkswagen Phaeton's large car key, but feels more substantial and luxurious.
It also comes with Secure-A-Key that helps to prevent theft of keys without keypads. This device is inserted into the remote control fob and is disabled when the key isn't used for a short period of time. bentley flying spur key blocks thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that can unlock and start the vehicle.
Bentley's distinctive design is a reflection of the company's values which include exquisite craftsmanship and engineering expertise as well as cutting-edge technology. Over 4,000 employees are employed at its Crewe headquarters, and are responsible for the development, design, and production of Bentley automobiles. They employ skills that have been handed through generations and apply them to the latest in technology in the automotive industry. This is British manufacturing at its best.
Personalisation
Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to create their own vehicle. The guests sit at a collection of images called "mood stations" and pick a collection of photos ranging from scenic views to sporting events that are inspiring to them to design their own. After each selection is made, a pattern appears and reveals the model and color preferences for the personalized Bentley.
The resulting configuration is saved to individual R.F.I.D.-enabled keys which are handed out to guests in a custom-made key case. The keys can also be fitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps that light up the door's opening pathway with the owner's name or emblem when they are approaching the vehicle.
Bentley estimates that it takes around 500 man-hours to build and put together a Mulsanne. One of the main reasons for that lengthy effort is a deliberate refusal to take advantage of modern technology. Instead of using a machine to place the perfectly-matched leather seats workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. Drivers are required to park their vehicles manually, not using sensors built into the vehicle to direct them to perpendicular and paralell spots.
Bentley showcased its Mulliner personalization skills with the release of a special Mulsanne W.O. Edition, that pays tribute to William Osler, the founder of Bentley. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays homage to founder William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited edition cars come with keys that display an item from the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
